Şafak Herdem of our firm will be speaking at the Nuclear Finance Conference, 11-12 May 2016, at the OECD Conference Centre, in Paris, France.  The Conference which is being co-sponsored by the International Framework for Nuclear Energy Cooperation  and the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency will convene leading stakeholders ranging from energy planning authorities, regulators and export credit agencies to vendors, utilities, bankers, rating agencies and insurers to identify key barriers and develop implementable approaches and solution sets.

Mr. Herdem will take role in a moderated scenario session and specifically play the role of the regulator for electricity market regulations.  During the two day conference a diverse set of issues of universal importance, including the vital role of nuclear in the global climate agenda, challenges associated with financing nuclear projects, including new build and decommissioning and waste facilities, and lessons learned from investment in other low- carbon technologies will be addressed.
